Makari places

SUMMERLOG: RAI dramas choose Sicily

Màkari TV series

After Commissario Montalbano, the true ambassador of Sicilian beauty in the world, it is now the turn of another mystery TV series to talk about some of the most beautiful places on the island. Gaetano Savatteri's novels and the TV series Màkari present us with glimpses of Sicily that we do not expect. The TV series recounts the adventures of the journalist Saverio Lamanna who returns to his family home in Macari, a small village in the province of Trapani, and who finds himself, by chance, in the role of a detective. Seafaring villages, but also the lives of fishermen, of those who live and work in the countryside, and many, many suggestive views and landscapes dress up the TV series produced and broadcast by RAI, which is already anticipating success. And if the title of the TV series immediately brings us back to the Gulf of Macari, a small natural inlet at the foot of Mount Cofano, it is also true that many settings have also been filmed elsewhere. Among these is our famous Scopello, which has already lent itself at length to national and international filming. Leaving from the port of Castellammare it will be possible to discover some of the most beautiful settings of "Macari".

In less than half an hour of navigation we are already in front of the fishing village and the tuna Scopello (one of the favorite sets for the first episode of the TV show) and discover in the same area countless coves where you can stop for a dip! Sicily boat Dreams also allows its customers to easily reach independently by renting a boat or through private excursions and customizable San Vito lo Capo, another film set of the television series a few steps from the bay of Macari.
